An electric field is formed around a charged object such as a sphere

2. Explain what happens when a negatively charged object is placed into an electric field being generated by a positively charged object

Both objects are charged, so they both have electric fields surrounding them. 

If a negatively charged object is placed into the electric field of a positively charged  object, a force of attraction will occur between the two objects.

3. Explain what happens when a positively charged object is placed into an electric field being generated by a positively charged object

Both objects are charged, so they both have electric fields surrounding them. 

If a positively charged object is placed into the electric field of a positively charged  object, a force of repulsion will occur between the two objects.
