Energy Resources

An energy resource contains a store of energy that when transferred can be used for generating electricity, heating of homes or transportation

There are two main types of energy resources:

1. Renewable energy resources

2. Non Renewable energy resources.

Renewable energy resources are being used at the same rate that they are being produced, so they will not run out

Non renewable energy resources are being used at a faster rate than they are being produced, so they will run out

4.Biogas is produced from the decay of previously living material. Fossil fuels are also formed from previous living organisms. Why is biogas classed as renewable, but fossil fuels are classed as non renewable?
