1.Define Newton’s Third Law 

Whenever two objects interact, they exert equal and opposite forces on each other

2.Describe how Newton’s Third Law applies when a swimmer pushes off the wall of a pool.

The swimmer exerts a force on the wall and in response the wall will exert an equal force on the swimmer that is in the opposite direction. This allows the swimmer to move away from the wall.

3.Describe the interaction forces between Earth and the Moon according to Newton’s Third Law.

The Earth exerts a force of gravitational attraction on the Moon. 

The Moon exerts a force of gravitational attraction on the Earth. 

Both forces are equal in size, but act on different objects and in opposite directions. One acts on the Earth, the other on the Moon.
